In order to address this OTC medication errors and misuse, OTC Medication Safety focuses on educating 5th to 8th grade students and their parents or caregivers. Our goal is to provide information about reading medicine directions, following OTC label directions, proper measurement of medicine, safe storage and disposal of medicine and more.

Why I joined APhA-ASP: APhA-ASP has various operations that do many community outreach events, which is what drew me in to join. This gave me the opportunity to give back to my community through different areas of pharmacy, especially through OTC Medication Safety as I enjoy planning fun educational games and activities that introduce kids to the pharmacy career.
